Wordbrush is completely free, in full: every word, every card, and every story. There is nothing to buy, no subscription to manage, and nothing to restore; a fresh install is already fully unlocked.
Common questions
Does my progress sync between devices?
There's no automatic sync. Settings → manage progress lets you export a backup file and import it on another phone (it works across iOS and Android). Your review data never touches a server.
Audio won't play.
Check your device isn't in silent/mute mode and the volume is up. Every word and sentence recording is bundled into the app itself, so this isn't a network problem, if a specific clip stays silent after that, let us know which word and we'll look into it.
Does Wordbrush teach writing characters?
There is a writing card, off unless you turn it on in Settings → practice. It gives you a blank pad and grades each stroke as you write the character from memory, with no model to copy. It covers a few hundred words on purpose, the core characters and the look-alikes, because writing from memory earns its time by helping you tell similar characters apart when reading, not by making your handwriting fluent.
